We don't throw the term "legend" around too much but today is very appropriate; Keith Morris, founder & former lead singer of Black Flag, Circle Jerks and OFF! joins us to talk about his career, his music, his life, his unique perspective and of course his record collection. We go deep on this one and share information on Keith's new autobiography "My Damage", a fascinating read through his life and the early days of punk rock. Plus a short record-nerd tutorial on Black Flag and SST's 1st record "Nervous Breakdown"; early pressings fetch several hundred dollars, today we share what you need to know to spot one.

If you like records, just starting a collection or are an uber-nerd with a house-full of vinyl, this is the podcast for you. Nate Goyer is The Vinyl Guide and discusses all things music and record-related.

Prometheus Risen is a free-flowing, no-holds-barred, in-the-moment encounter based on daredevil instincts, a shared arrangement aesthetic and mutual trust. While all the keyboard parts, Moog bass lines, ambient washes, textures, loops and huge groove playing on the kit might suggest a precisely-crafted project involving multiple layers of overdubbing and tons of post-production work, the entire album was in fact done live in the studio. Together on Prometheus Risen, Chamberlain and Haas present spontaneous composition at its finest.

The Vinyl Guide's "Vinyl Artist Series" episodes showcases new artists who have committed themselves to the vinyl record format. These are totally independent artists who wish to share their music and hopefully encourage listeners to pick up their music on vinyl.

Then....they broke up.

Nearly 20 years later they mended fences, personally and creatively, and began the next chapter, releasing the album "The Heart is a Monster" and now touring the US and beyond. Today we talk to Kellii Scott of the band about the arc of the band and their recent return to studio and stage.
